Medicinal Herb Growing and Marketing Conference

Group photo of MHGMC attendees

The first Medicinal Herb Growing and Marketing Conference was held at Fort Worden on April 15-17, 2016. It was a great conference with 450 people. A lot of people have been wondering if we’re going to do a conference in 2017. MHGMC was conceived and coordinated by Michael Pilarski and took a 5-month effort to pull off. As a result I have decided to do the conference every two years. So April 2018 will be the next full conference.

April 15-16, 2017, I will be offering a Medicinal Herb Growing & Wildcrafting Seminar (one day of each). This seminar is the 2017 place-holder for the larger conference in 2018. At the seminar there will be networking between the participants. We will talk about marketing cooperation. See more below.

Our next Friends of the Trees newsletter will have info on the Barter Faire Summit, our new Earth Repair Information Hub, the Fairy & Human Relations Congress and some workshops in the Inland Northwest.

Towards a greener & happier world,

Michael Skeeter Pilarski

PS. I could use some research assistance if anyone has time and expertise to offer.

Friends of the Trees Botanicals 2017 Catalog - Fresh and Dry Herbs

Skeeter displaying his wares

This catalog offers 107 botanicals from 95 species. We grow or wildcraft all of them personally. 57 of the botanicals are wildcrafted.

50 are cultivated, and 6 species we both grow and wildcraft.

Origins: 36 species are Pacific Northwest natives. 17 are weedy non-natives naturalized in Washington State that we wildcraft.

We cultivate 51 species from Europe, Asia and the US.

* 2017 is our 22nd year as a commercial botanicals business.

* Our wildcrafting is done in the northern counties of Washington, Idaho and Northwest Montana.

* Our wildcrafted botanicals are sustainably gathered to maintain healthy plant populations.
